Description
Events are Timed Finals and all
events are Open age groups.
The 400 IM and 500 Free are
positive check in events and will be swum fastest to
slowest.
All Athletes in positive check-in
events must check in :45 minutes before the start of each
session.
We will attempt to swim all
swimmers wishing to swim the above events, but we reserve the right
to limit them to run a quality meet.
Heats may be combined at the
Referee’s decision.
Please notify the Meet
Administration if you have advance scratches. The USA Swimming
national scratch rule willbe in effect for scratches from
finals. No penalty for scratching pre-seeded events in
preliminaries.

Management reserves the right to modify the warm-up sessions if
necessary.
ENTRY LIMIT
Swimmers are
limited to swim four events per day Meet management reserves the right
to limit meet size to comply with Louisiana Swimming, Inc.’s
four-hour rule. Every effort will be made to accommodate all
entries submitted. If entries are limited, meet management
will use the criteria of first received basis. All entries
received after this time will be promptly returned. All teams
will be notified of any such limitations or
changes. Meet may be limited to the first 300
swimmers, or as necessary to insure that timelines are
manageable. Scratching one event to enter another
event will be prohibited after the psych sheet has been posted.
ELIGIBILITY
This meet is sanctioned by USA
Swimming, Inc. and Louisiana Swimming, Inc. (LSI).
2009 USA Swimming and LSI rules
will apply.
Swimmers with a disability as
described in the USA Swimming Technical Rules, Article 105, shall
be permitted to enter any meet sanctioned by Louisiana Swimming
Inc.
Age as of October 3, 2009
determines age for entire meet.
Only USA Swimming registered
athletes are eligible to compete.
ALL COACHES AND OFFICIALS MUST BE
CURRENT ON ALL USA SWIMMING REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS.

Enter all events in short course
yard times.
Only “Hy-Teký Team
Manager entries will be accepted.
Please submit a hard copy of
your entries in addition to your disk.

NO PHONE OR FAX ENTRIES WILL BE
ACCEPTED.
All swimmers must have their
current and complete 14-digit USA Swimming number to be
entered.

WARM UP PROCEDURE
Coaches must be on deck to
supervise their team during warm-up!
Deck Referee and Safety Marshals
have complete authority over warm-up procedures at all
times.
TIMERS
Timers will be the responsibility
of all teams entered in the meet.
Timing assignments will be
assigned based on approximate number of entries per team per
session.
Your team assignments will be
posted on our Website www.swimtaq.com on the Tuesday
before the meet or you may call (225) 578-5078.
MEETING SCHEDULE
Officials:
30 minutes before the start of each session.
Coaches:

Timers: 15
minutes before the start of each session.
OFFICIALS
TAQ would appreciate help from
visiting teams. Please contact our meet referee, Keith Landry,
desperado4457@cox.net, if you would like to
officiate. As a matter of USA Swimming insurance coverage,
please bring your official’s certification card with
you.
FACILITY RULES
LSU permits no taping to the walls
of any kind. Banners may be hung from wood beams by
string/rope.
NO SMOKING IS PERMITTED IN THE
NATATORIUM.
Please note that all diving
apparatus present on deck is the property of LSU Swimming and
Diving and is completely off limits to everyone participating in
the meet. This is due to both insurance issues and the request of
LSU Diving.
Each team is responsible for
cleaning up their area. Please place all trash in receptacles
provided.
There is absolutely no parking in
the grass field between the front of the Natatorium and Nicholson
Drive. Parking is available by the tennis courts and in front of
track field. If there is any question about where you may park
please ask the meet administration.
HEAT SHEETS & FINAL
RESULTS
Heat sheets will be
available.
We will be using Hy-Tek’s
real time results throughout the meet.
CONCESSIONS & HOSPITALITY
Concessions will be
available. Hospitality will be open for coaches and officials
only.
